Cranberry Pecan Brie Baguette
Ingredients:
- Baguette bread (sliced 1/2 inch thick) - 1 loaf
- Brie cheese (warm) - 1/2 lb wedge
- pecans, chopped - 1/2 cup
- craisins - 1/2 cup
- brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- maple syrup - 3 T
- brown sugar - 3 T
- brown sugar for sprinkling - 1/4 cup
Instructions:
Prepare glaze -- in a medium pan, combine 3 T maple syrup and 3 T brown sugar, bring to a boil. Simmer until foamy, 1 - 2 minutes. Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil and place on a foil covered cookie sheet. Broil on HIGH until they are golden brown.
Microwave brie cheese until it begins to melt and warmed through, spread cheese on each baguette. Sprinkle chopped pecans and crasins over brie cheese. Top each baguette with a little brown sugar.
Drizzle glaze over baguette and serve warm.
