Pizza Twists
Ingredients:
- frozen bread dough, thawed in refrigerator for 24 hours - 2 pounds
- pizza sauce - 12 ounce jar
- mini pepperoni or other topping of your choice - 1 bag
- shredded mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- Italian seasoning -
Instructions:
On a well floured surface, roll each loaf to 1/2 inch thick rectangle.
Spread 3 T pizza sauce over one rectangle. Sprinkle 1/2 c pepperoni and 1 c mozzarella over sauce. Carefully lay second rectangle over top, press dough down. Slice dough into 1 1/2 inch wide strips. Gently twist dough and place on parchment lined baking sheet. Sprinkle Parmesan and seasoning over top.
Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 15 - 20 minutes, until tops are golden brown. Serve hot with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
