Black Cherry Bourbon Soda
Ingredients:
- bourbon - 1 cup
- golden brown sugar - 3/4 cup packed
- whole fresh black cherries, stems left on, pitted - 2 cups
- soda water - 16 ounces
Instructions:
In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine bourbon and brown sugar, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved and mixture is hot. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
Pack cherries into a small jar, pour the hot liquid over; press gently on the cherries to make sure they are submerged. Cover, place in refrigerator for at least 1 week or up to 1 month.
Prepare sodas -- fill 4 - 12 ounce glasses with ice, add 3 T cherry-infused bourbon and 4 ounces soda water to each glass. Garnish with 2 - 3 whole Bourbon Cherries. Serve immediately.
