Frozen Hot Chcolate
Ingredients:
- milk chocolate, roughly chopped - 3 ounces
- unsweetened cocoa powder - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar - 2 T
- milk, divided - 1 1/2 cups
- salt - dash
- ice - 3 cups
- whipped cream, peppermint sticks, hot fudge, chocolate squares or shavings or mashmallow syrup - garnish
Instructions:
In a saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, salt and 1/2 cup milk, stir until chocolate melts and is smooth. Cool to room temperature, or put it in an airtight container in the refrigerator to use later.
When ready to drink, put chocolate base in a blender, add 1 cup of milk and ice. Blend thoroughly combined and slushy. Spoon frozen hot chocolate into mugs or bowls. Garnish as desired with whipped cream, peppermint sticks, hot fudge, chocolate squares or shavings or mashmallow syrup.
