Slow Cooker Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
- whole milk - 8 cups
- sweetened condensed milk - 14 ounce can
- bittersweet OR semi sweet chocolate chips - 3 cups
- creme de menthe OR vodka, optional - 1/4 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 T
- peppermint extract - 1 t
- salt - 1/4 t
- sweetened whipped cream - for topping
- crushed candy canes - for topping
Instructions:
In a 7 quart slow cooker, combine milk, condensed milk, chocolate chips, creme de menthe Or vodka, vanilla, peppermint and salt. Cover, cook on high for 2 hours or until combined, whisk halfway through. (To help chocolate melt.) Turn temperature to warm.
To serve, fill mugs with hot chocolate, garnish with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
