Apple Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
- white OR raisin bread, cut into cubes - 8 slices
- butter, melted - 1/2 cup
- cinnamon - 1/2 t
- nutmeg - 1/4 t
- salt - 1/8 t
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 cup
- peeled, chopped apples - 4 cups
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together, the bread cubes, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar. In a 4-quart slow cooker, layer ingredients 1/2 of bread mixture, 1/2 of apples; repeat layers.
Cover, cook 1 1/2 hours on high or 3 - 4 hours on low, or until apples are tender. Serve warm with caramel topping and chopped nuts.
