1/2 c butter
2 1/2 c flour
4 t sugar
4 t baking powder
2 t kosher salt
1 3/4 c buttermilk
Melt butter in a 8×8 inch baking pan. Set aside.
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in buttermilk, dough will be sticky.
Spread dough on top of butter. With a sharp knife cut dough into 9 biscuits.
Bake at 450 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and spring back when touched.
Rotate pan half way through baking.
