Cinnamon Pecan Biscuits
Ingredients:
- butter, melted, divided - 3/4 cup plus 2 T
- chopped pecans - 1 cup
- sugar - 1/2 cup
- cinnamon - 1 T
- refrigerated flakey biscuits - 16.3 ounce package (8 count)
Instructions:
Coat the bottom of deep dish pie plate with 2 T melted butter; set aside. In a bowl, combine pecans, sugar and cinnamon; mix well. Sprinkle 1/4 of pecan mixture over bottom of pie plate.
Separate each biscuit into 3 layers. Dip each biscuit piece into 3/4 c butter, (coat each piece thoroughly). Layer 8 biscuit pieces in bottom of pie plate, completely covering pecan mixture, 1/4 pecan mixture, lay on 8 biscuits, 1/4 pecan mixture, lay on 8 biscuits, remaining pecan mixture, drizzle top with leftover melted butter.
Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20 - 25 minutes, until biscuits are golden and cooked through. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving platter and slice into wedges, serve warm.
