Easy No-Knead Skillet Bread
Ingredients:
- active dry yeast - 1 package
- lukewarm water - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 T
- flour - 4 1/3 c
- olive oil -
- rosemary -
Instructions:
In a large bowl combine yeast and warm water. Using a wooden spoon add 1 c flour and then salt; mix until combined. Stir in the rest of the flour, one cup at a time, until completely incorporated. Cover with plastic wrap. Allow to rise for 1 hour. DO NOT punch the dough down. Lightly oil bottom of a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle flour on top of the dough and cover hands with flour. Form dough into a disk. (it will be sticky)Place in skillet, cover loosely with a towel, let rise for 30 minutes. Drizzle a little oil over top of the dough, with a knife cut a large X on the top of the dough. Sprinkle with coarse salt and rosemary leaves. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 35-40 minutes until the top is a deep brown color.
