Aloha French Toast
Ingredients:
- eggs - 4
- milk - 1/2 cup
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- butter - for frying
- powdered sugar - garnish
- coconut syrup, warm - topping
Instructions:
Slice bread crosswise into 1 inch thick slices. If desired cut larger slices into halves or thirds; set aside.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. (Mix occasionally to keep well blended.) Melt butter on a griddle. Quickly dip slices (DO NOT soak) in egg mixture. Place bread on griddle, cook until golden brown on both sides.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over the French toast, serve with warm coconut syrup. Garnish with fresh pineapple slices.
