2 c Bisquick
1/2 c cold sour cream
1/2 c 7Up or Sprite
1/3 c mini chocolate chips
In a large bowl combine Bisquick and mini chocolate chips. Add sour cream and cut it in with a pastry cutter until thoroughly mixed. Should be crumbly and moist without any Bisquick left at the bottom of the bowl. Make a well in the center and add the soda, let it bubble up for a few seconds, then stir it in just until barely incorporated. Do not over handle the dough.
Turn biscuit dough out onto a floured board. Gently knead just until it comes together. Roll to about 1/2 – 3/4 inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter (don’t twist the cutter as you push down — just go straight down). Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and let them rest for 5 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until tops are golden.
