French Toast Casserole with Praline Topping
Ingredients:
- French bread, cubed - 1 loaf
- eggs - 8
- milk - 1 cup
- half & half - 2 cups
- vanilla extract - 1 T
- sugar - 2 T
- cinnamon - 1 t
- butter, softened - 1 cup
- brown sugar - 1 cup
- chopped pecans - 1 cup
- cinnamon - 1 t
Instructions:
Place bread in a buttered 13 x 9 inch casserole dish. Beat eggs, milk, half & half, vanilla, sugar and 1 t cinnamon together, pour evenly over bread making sure to cover all the bread.
Cover and place in refrigerator overnight. Top with praline topping before baking.
Prepare praline topping -- mix together butter, brown sugar, pecan and 1 t cinnamon; mixture will be crumbly. Sprinkle topping over bread mixture.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
