1/4 c butter, melted
3/4 c brown sugar
10 slices of thick cut French Bread
8 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c milk
1 T vanilla extract
1 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t ground ginger
1/8 t salt
1/2 c pecans chopped
In a small bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Pour in the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan.
Arrange bread slices in the pan, overlap if necessary.
In a bowl combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, and salt and pour evenly over bread slices.
Sprinkle chopped pecans over bread slices.
Cover and refrigerate for 4-12 hours.
Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes. If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with aluminum foil.
