Stuffed French Toast Rolls
Ingredients:
- white bread, crust removed - 16 slices
- cream cheese, soft - 8 ounces
- powdered sugar - 3/4 cup
- sugar - 1 cup
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- butter, melted - 3/4 cup
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar; set aside.
Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin. Spread 1 - 2 T of cream cheese mixture over each slice of bread. Roll bread up (jelly roll style). Dip roll in melted butter, then into cinnamon sugar. Place on a foil lined cookie sheet.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until golden. Serve with maple syrup and whipped cream.
