Coconut Pecan Frosting
Ingredients:
- evaporated milk - 1 cup
- sugar - 1 cup
- egg yolks - 3
- margarine - 1/2 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- coconut - 1 1/2 cups
- chopped pecans - 1 cup
Instructions:
In a sauce pan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine and vanilla; cook and stir over medium heat until thickened approximately 12 minutes.
Add coconut and pecans; beat until thick enough to spread.
Yield 2 1/2 cups.
Excellant on German Chocolate Cake.
