1 box Devil Food cake mix
1 box devil’s food cake mix plus ingredients listed on box
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter
1 c chopped walnuts
2 ¼ c heavy whipping cream
2 heaping T powdered sugar
2 full size snickers bars
Prepare cake mix per directions on box. Prepare caramel layer– place brown sugar, butter and 1/4 c whipping cream in a saucepan, on medium heat, stir constantly until combined. Remove from heat, spread evenly into two greased 9 inch round cake pans. (avoid getting caramel mixture near sides of pan) Sprinkle 1/2 c nuts over mixture in each pan. Carefully place dollops of cake batter around the edge of the pan, spread batter evenly in pan. Bake as directed on cake box. Cool in pans for 5 minutes. To remove run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen cake, flip cakes onto two plates. Cool completely before icing. Prepare icing — beat remaining whipping cream until peaks form, add powdered sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Spread half of cream mixture over cake, place second layer on and spread remaining cream mixture over top. Sprinkle crush snickers over top of cake. Store covered in the refrigerator.
