Cinnamon Honey Bun Cake
Ingredients:
- yellow cake mix - 1 box
- sour cream - 8 ounces
- eggs - 4
- vegetable oil - 3/4 cup
- brown sugar - 1 cup
- ground cinnamon - 1 T
- Frosting --
- powdered sugar - 2 cups
- milk - 4 T
- vannilla extract - 1 T
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil and sour cream. Stir by hand until most of the lumps are gone. Pour half of the batter into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In a second bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover entire cake (to the edges) with the brown sugar mixture. Carefully spread remaining batter over the cinnamon mixture. Using a butter knife, swirl knife through the batter.
Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Prepare frosting -- just before the cake is done baking, mix together powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Remove cake from oven, immediately pour frosting over the warm cake. Wait 15 minutes before cutting.
