1 ½ sticks butter (soft)
2 c sugar
3 c flour (sifted)
4 t baking powder
1 t salt
1 ¼ c whole milk
3 egg whites (beaten stiff)
Sift together dry ingredients. Beat egg whites and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar. Add flour mixture and milk alternately until combined. Don’t overbeat. Fold in beaten egg whites. Spread in a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.

¾ c flour
1 ½ c brown sugar
2 T cinnamon
1 ½ cups chopped pecans
In a bowl, combine topping ingredients with a pastry cutter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of cake.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until set. Serve warm.
