2 – 8 ounces packages cream cheese, soft
½ c sugar
½ t vanilla extract
1 egg
Prepare filling-In a bowl with an electric mixer cream together cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla. Set aside. Prepare cake-
3 c flour
1 t baking powder
½ t baking soda
½ t salt
½ c unsalted butter, softened
1 c sugar
4 eggs
1 t vanilla extract
1 c sour cream
Prepare cake batter -In a bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until well combined; set aside.
In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar on medium-low speed. Adding eggs one at a time, add vanilla extract. Slowly pour in flour mixture alternating with sour cream until it is all combined.
Spread half of the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Evenly spread cream cheese filling over batter. Spread remaining cake batter and smooth. With a knife, gently swirl in the batter. Prepare streusel topping-
¼ c sugar
¼ c flour
3 T butter, cold, cubed
Prepare streusel topping – In a bowl, add sugar, flour and butter. With a fork stir ingredients together until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle topping over cake batter.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Prepare glaze —
¼ c powdered sugar
1 ½ t milk
In a bowl, combine sugar and milk until creamy. Drizzle glaze over cooled cake.
