Mars Bar Cake
Ingredients:
- German Chocolate cake mix plus ingredients listed on box - 15.25 ounce box
- sweetened condensed milk - 7 ounces
- caramel topping - 4 ounces
- mini Twix bars, chopped - 10
- mini Milky Way bars, chopped - 10
- mini Three Musketeers bar, chopped - 10
- Cool Whip, thawed - 8 ounces
- cream cheese, softened - 8 ounces
- chocolate syrup, optional - for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare cake mix per directions on package, for a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
In a bowl mix together condensed milk and caramel topping; set asde. While the cake is still hot, poke holes over the top of the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour caramel mixture into the holes and over the cake. Sprinkle half of the chopped candy bars over top, slightly pressing them into the cake. Cover, place in refrigerator for 2 - 3 hours. Mix cool whip and cream cheese together, spread mixture evenly over the cake. Top cake with the rest of the chopped candy bars. Store covered in the refrigerator. If desired drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.
