Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
- instant chocolate pudding - 3.9 ounce box
- milk - 1 1/2 cups
- devil's food cake mix - 1 box
- chopped caramels - 1 1/2 cups
- coarse sea salt - for sprinkling
- semi sweet chocolate chips - 1 cup
Instructions:
In a large bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding and milk for one minute to combine. Add cake mix ONLY, stir until thoroughly combined. Evenly spread batter into a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan (batter will be thick). Sprinkle caramels evenly over batter. Sprinkle with sea salt to taste.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 - 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake portion comes out clean. Remove cake from oven and cool on a cooling rack. Melt chocolate chips stir until smooth, drizzle over cooled cake.
Slice cake, serve with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
