German Chocolate cake mix plus ingredients as listed on box
Prepare cake as directed, pour 1/2 of cake batter into greased 13×9 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
1 c chocolate chips
1 c pecans
3/4 c butter
1/2 c evaporated milk
14 ounce bag caramels
In a double boiler, melt caramels, milk and butter and stir constantly till smooth.
Pour caramel mixture over cake.
Sprinkle pecans & chocolate chips on top.
Pour remaining batter on top and bake 20 minutes.
