Caramel Pretzel Bark
Ingredients:
- mini pretzel twists - 1/2 bag
- butter - 1 cup
- brown sugar - 1 cup
- chocolate chips - 2 cups
- sea salt - for sprinkling
Instructions:
Line a 10 x 15 inch baking pan with foil, place a single layer of pretzels on the foil. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved. Gently boil just until it starts to form a smooth caramel. Let it bubble a little and get really thick. Remove from heat, evenly pour mixture over the pretzels. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for five minutes.
Remove from oven, immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Spread the melted chocolate chips. (If needed return to oven for the chips to melt.) Sprinkle salt over the chips. Cool at room temperature for a few minutes, place in the freezer for 2 - 3 hours. Remove from freezer, break into chunks, serve.
