Martha Washington Candy
Ingredients:
- butter - 1/2 cup
- sweetened condensed milk - 14 ounce can
- shredded coconut - 2 cups
- pecans or walnuts, finely chopped - 2 cups
- powdered sugar - 2 pounds
- chocolate candy wafers, melted -
- vanilla candy wafers - if desired
Instructions:
Mix together butter, milk, coconut and nuts. Gradually add powdered sugar. Roll into balls, place in refrigerator to chill. Melt chocolate wafers, dip the balls in the chocolate, place candy on wax paper to set. If desired drizzle tops with melted vanilla wafers. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
