Baked Pasta
Ingredients:
- olive oil - 1/2 tsp
- garlic, minced - 3 cloves
- red pepper flakes - pinch
- salt and pepper - to desired taste
- crushed tomatoes - 14.5 ounce can
- water - 1 1/2 cups
- penne pasta - 1 1/2 cups
- heavy cream - 1/4 cup
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup
- fresh basil, minced - 1/4 cup
- shredded mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup
Instructions:
Add olive oil to a 10 inch oven safe skillet, saute garlic, pepper flakes, salt and pepper for about 1 minute. Add tomatoes, water, pasta and 1/4 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer. Cover, cook for 20 minutes, or until pasta is tender, stir often. Stir in cream, Parmesan and basil. Sprinkle mozzarella over top.
Bake in a preheated 475 degree oven for 8 - 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbling
