Beefy Sour Cream Noodle Bake
Ingredients:
- ground beef - 1 1/4 pound
- tomato sauce - 15 ounce can
- salt - 1/2 t
- pepper - 1/4 t
- onion powder - 1/4 t
- egg noodles - 8 ounces
- sour cream - 3/4 cup
- small curd cottage cheese - 1 1/4 cup
- grated sharp cheddar cheese - 2 cups
Instructions:
In a skillet, brown ground beef, season with salt, pepper and onion powder. Drain the excess fat. Add tomato sauce, simmer on low for 10 minutes.
Cook noodles until al dente, drain; set aside. In a bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese. Add noodles and stir to coat.
Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Place half of the noodles, half of the beef mixture, top with half of the cheese, repeat the layers and end with cheese.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
