Onion Bake
Ingredients:
- French Bread, cut into 1/2 inch slices - 1 loaf
- shredded Swiss Cheese - 2 cups
- onion soup mix - 2.75 ounce package
Instructions:
Prepare onion soup mix per package directions for soup.
Place bread slices on baking sheets, bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 5 minutes per side, or until dry and golden. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Lay half of the bread slices in a single layer in baking dish. Sprinkle 1 cup cheese over bread, top with remaining bread slices. Pour soup over bread, sprinkle remaining cheese over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes, or until bread has absorbed most of the soup and cheese is golden
