Spaghetti Bake
Ingredients:
- spaghetti - 1 pound
- ground beef - 1 pound
- onion, chopped - 1 medium
- garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- meatless spaghetti sauce - 24 ounce jar
- cinnamon - 1/2 t
- eggs - 2
- olive oil - 1 T
- pepper - 1 1/2 t
- garlic powder - 1 t
- onion powder - 1 t
- salt - 1/2 t
- butter, melted - 5 T
- cottage cheese - 8 ounces
- shredded mozzarella cheese - 4 cups
Instructions:
Break pasta in half, prepare per package directions.
In a skillet heat oil, add onions, cook for 10 minutes, add garlic, cook for 1 minute. Add beef cook beef until beef is no longer pink, drain grease. Add sauce, mix, add cinnamon, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and salt. In a bowl toss pasta with butter. In a second bowl whisk eggs, add cottage cheese, mix.
Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, layer ingredients 1/2 spaghetti, 1/2 cheese mixture, 1/2 meat mixture, 2 c mozzarella cheese, repeat layers. Cover pan, bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Uncover, continue to bake until cheese browns. (13 - 15 minutes)
