Three Cheese Macaroni
Ingredients:
- rotini - 1 pound
- milk - 2 cups
- cream cheese - 8 ounces
- butter - 3 T
- fresh ground pepper - 1 tsp
- sea salt - 1/2 tsp
- grated sharp cheddar cheese - 1 1/2 cups
- shredded smoked Gouda cheese - 1 1/2 cups
Instructions:
Cook pasta per package directions. Drain pasta, rinse with cold water to cool, drain well. Place in a bowl, add Cheddar and Gouda cheese; set aside.
In a saucepan, combine milk, cream cheese, butter, pepper and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until butter and cream cheese are melted.
Add hot milk mixture to the pasta, stir until combined. Pour pasta in a 3 quart baking dish.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until macaroni is set and the top is golden brown.
