Monterey Chicken
Ingredients:
- honey - 3 T
- soy sauce - 3 T
- Worcestershire sauce - 3 T
- garlic - 5 dashes
- salt - 5 dashes
- boneless, skinless, chicken breasts - 4
- shredded Monterrey jack cheese - 1 cup
- apple smoked bacon - 8 slices
- barbecue sauce, your choice - 8 T
Instructions:
In a ziploc bag, mix together the honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and salt. Place chicken breasts in the bag, add enough water until marinade reaches the top of the chicken. Seal, place in refrigerator for 8 hours.
Cook it your way - grilled, skillet fried, baked or broiled until done. While the chicken is cooking, fry the bacon until crisp. When chicken is done top each breast with 2 T BBQ sauce, 2 strips of bacon and 1/4 c cheese. Place chicken in microwave or under broiler to melt cheese.
