2 c flour
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c margarine (softened)
2 packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 c sugar, plus 2 T (divided)
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
3 Granny Smith apples (peeled and chopped)
1/2 t ground cinnamon
In a medium bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Press evenly into a 13×9-inch baking pan lined with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes til lightly browned.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with mixer at medium speed until smooth. Beat in 1/2 c sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over warm crust.
In a small bowl, stir together chopped apples, 2 T sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon evenly over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake 30 minutes, or until filling is set
