Butterfinger Nutter Butter Bars
Ingredients:
- nutter butter cookies - 16 whole
- butter, melted - 1/4 c
- cream cheese, softened - 8 ounces
- sugar - 1/3 c
- vanilla extract - 1 t
- egg - 1
- flour - 1/2 T
- fun size Butterfinger chocolate bars, finely chopped - 6
- semi sweet chocolate chips - 3/4 c
- butter - 3 T
Instructions:
Crush nutter butter cookies into fine crumbs, place crumbs in a bowl, add melted butter; mix well. Press mixture into a parchment paper lined 9 x9 inch pan; set aside. Prepare filling--
In a bowl, whip cream cheese and sugar together until smooth, stir in egg, vanilla and flour. Fold the butterfingers into the cheesecake mixture. Pour over crust and bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 18 - 22 minutes or until cheesecake has set. Cool to room temperature, then place in the refrigerator until completely chilled. Prepare topping--
Melt chocolate chips and butter together, stirring until smooth, spread evenly over the bars. Place in the refrigerator for 5 - 10 minutes for chocolate to set. Remove from refrigerator, cut into bars and serve.
