Grace’s Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
- brown sugar - 2 cups
- unsweetened cocoa - 10 T
- margarine, melted - 1 cup
- eggs - 2
- milk - 1 cup
- vanilla extract - 2 t
- flour - 3 cups
- salt - 1/8 t
- baking powder - 2 t
- baking soda - 1 t
- walnuts, optional - to desired taste
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda; set aside. In a second bowl, mix together brown sugar and cocoa, stir in margarine.
Add eggs, mix. Stir in milk and vanilla alternating with dry ingredients. Stir in the walnuts.
Drop by teaspoon on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 8 - 10 minutes.
Cool and frost with your favorite chocolate frosting. Cookies are soft and cakelike. Goes great with a dip of vanilla ice cream.
