1 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 t vanilla
2 c flour
1 1/3 c shredded coconut
In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar; add vanilla, beat thoroughly. Add flour and coconut; mix well. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in flour. Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Makes 4 dozen
