Double Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
- margarine, softened - 1 1/4 cups
- sugar - 2 cups
- eggs - 2
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 cups
- unsweetened cocoa - 3/4 cup
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- semi sweet chocolate chips - 1 1/2 cups
- finely chopped walnuts OR pecans - 1/2 cup
Instructions:
In a bowl, cream together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt, gradually add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 8 - 9 minutes or until edges are set. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to completely cool.
