1 box (1 lb 2.3 oz) fudge brownie mix plus ingredients listed on box
1/2 c chopped pecans
Prepare brownies per directions on box, stir in pecans. Bake in a 9×13 inch pan.
Cool before frosting.
1/2 c whipping cream
6 T butter
1 1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c chopped pecans, toasted
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla
In saucepan, combine cream, butter and brown sugar; cook over medium heat, stir frequently, until mixture comes to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, stir constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Cool 5 minutes, stir frequently. Spread frosting over brownies. Let frosting set 30-45 minutes before cutting.
