Samoas Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies - 6 1/2 cups
- mini marshmallows - 11 ounces
- margarine - 4 - 5 T
- chocolate coating --
- chocolate almond bark or candy melts - 1 package
- caramel topping --
- marshmallows - 1 cup
- butter - 2 T
- chewy caramel candy - 11 ounce package
- salt - pinch
- coconut - 2 - 3 cups
- finely chopped pecans - 1/2 cup
Instructions:
On medium low heat, melt butter and marshmallows. Add cereal, mix well. Press mixture into a buttered 13 x 9 inch pan.
Prepare caramel layer -- in a pan over medium low heat, melt butter, caramels and marshmallows. Add salt pecans and coconut. Evenly spread mixture over Rice Krispies. Let set for 1 - 2 hours. Cut into squares.
Melt the candy melts, dip the bottom of each square into the chocolate, place on wax paper until the chocolate sets. Once the chocolate sets up, turn the squares over. Pip chocolate over the top of each square.
