2 1/2 c flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 c butter, soft
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 T sour cream
1 t vanilla extract
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. (The longer you beat it, the fluffier your bars will be.)
Add egg and combine well.
Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until completely blended.
Slowly add the flour mixture and stir until well combined.
With buttered hands gently press the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 17-20 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. Cool before frosting.
