Turtle Bars
Ingredients:
- pecans - 6 ounces
- flour - 2 cups
- brown sugar - 1 cup
- margarine, soft - 1/2 cup
- packed brown sugar - 2/3 cup
- margarine - 1/2 cup
- semi sweet chocolate chips - 2 cups
Instructions:
In a bowl, blend flour, brown sugar and margarine together til coarse and crumbly, place in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Place pecans on crust.
In a sauce pan, melt 2/3 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup margarine, bring to boil and boil for 30 seconds (stirring constantly) make sure mixture is blended. Pour evenly over pecans.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over top, return to oven for 30 seconds until chips have melted remove from oven; spread melted chocolate over bars.
Let cool and cut into squares.
