Sugar Cookie Turtle Bars
Ingredients:
- refrigerated sugar cookie dough - 16.5 ounce roll
- semi sweet chocolate chips - 2 c
- chopped pecans - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- packed light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- caramel ice cream topping - 12.25 ounce jar
- graham cracker crumbs - 1 c
Instructions:
Press cookie dough into an ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle 1 c chocolate chips and 1 1/2 c pecans over dough; lightly press into dough; set aside.
In a saucepan, over medium high heat melt butter; stir in brown sugar, caramel topping and graham cracker crumbs. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Pour over crust; spread evenly. Sprinkle with 1 c chocolate chips and 1 1/2 c pecans.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 - 30 minutes or until edges are golden brown and pecans are lightly toasted. Cool on wire rack 30 minutes; run knife around edge of bars to loosen bars from pan, but do not cut. Cool for 3 hours. Cut into bars.
