Apple Cookie Cobbler
Ingredients:
- apples, peeped, diced - 5 large
- brown sugar - 2/3 cup
- lemon juice - 1 t
- caramel apple cookie mix OR sugar cookie - 2 1/4 cups
- butter, melted - 1 cup
- soft caramels, cut in half - 15
Instructions:
In a sauté pan add apples, sugar and lemon juice, cook over medium heat until apples are tender. Add caramel pieces to the apples and pour into a buttered 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle cookie mix over the apples. Pour butter evenly over the cookie mix.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serve warm and with ice cream, garnish with caramel sauce.
