Baked Apples
Ingredients:
- apples, sliced in half, core removed - 3 - 4
- margarine - 1/4 cup
- quick cooking oats - 1/2 cup
- flour - 1/2 cup
- brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground ginger - pinch
- salt - pinch
- chopped walnuts OR pecans -
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together, margarine, quick cooking oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger, salt and nuts. Fill apple halves with filling, sprinkle remaining filling over top of apples.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes until tops are golden brown.
Serve warm, with warm half & half, ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
