Cherry Clafoutis
Ingredients:
- butter, softened - 1 T
- milk - 1 1/4 cups
- sugar - 6 T
- kirsch - 2 T
- vanilla extract - 1 T
- eggs - 6
- Kosher salt - to desired taste
- flour - 3/4 cup
- black cherries - 3 cups
- powdered sugar - for dusting
Instructions:
In a blender, combine milk, sugar, kirsch, vanilla, eggs and salt. Blend for a few seconds to mix ingredients, add flour, blend until smooth, about 1 minute.
Pour batter into buttered 9 inch cast iron skillet, place cherries evenly over top.
Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into batter comes out clean and crust is golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve warm, with cream if desired.
