8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c butter, soft
2 c flour
1/2 t salt
powdered sugar
In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth, light and fluffy. Add flour and salt and thoroughly combine.
Lightly dust work area with powdered sugar. Place dough on work area and shape into a ball.
Divide dough into 4 rounds; flatten each round and cover with plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Prepare filling–
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c powdered sugar
1 t vanilla extract
your favorite jam – apricot, raspberry, strawberry, etc.
In a bowl combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla, beat until creamy and smooth; set aside.
Remove dough from refrigerator, let it rest for 5 minutes. Dust work area with flour, roll each ball to 1/4 inch thickness, cut into 3 inch squares.
Place a 1/2 t cheese mixture and 1/2 t jam in center of each square. Overlap opposite corners of the dough to the center and pinch together. (just pinch two corners together, two ends of dough will be open). Place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10 – 11 minutes, until edges are browned. Cool completely before serving.
