Custard Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
- half & half - 1 quart
- eggs - 4
- sugar - 1 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- bread - 4 slices
- raisins, if desired - 1/4 cup
- ground cinnamon - pinch
Instructions:
In a blender, blend together half & half, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until smooth. Arrange bread in a 13 x 9 inch baking pan; sprinkle with raisins and cinnamon. Pour egg mixture over bread.
Place baking pan in a large roasting pan; fill roasting pan with boiling water halfway up the sides of the baking pan.
Bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours until set.
