Kahula Dessert
Ingredients:
- sugar - 2 cups
- flour - 2 cups
- unsweetened cocoa powder - 3/4 cup
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2
- milk - 1 cup
- oil - 1/2 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Kahlua - 1 cup
- whipping cream - 2 cups
- sugar - 1 T
- corn starch - 1 T
- Kahlua - 3 T
Instructions:
In a bowl, beat eggs til light and fluffly, mix in 2 cups sugar and vanilla. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, salt, milk, oil and Kahula; mix well. Pour in a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool completely. When cake is cooled prepare cream -- in a cold bowl, whip together until stiff, cream, 1 T sugar, cornstarch and 3 T Kahula.
Assemble -- cut cake into cubes, layer into serving bowl 1/3 cake, 1/3 cream, repeat twice; garnish top with grated chocolate.
