Oreo’s and Ice Cream
Ingredients:
- Oreo cookies, crushed - 15 ounce package
- butter, melted - 1.4 cup
- ice cream, any flavor - 1/2 gallon
- Cool Whip, thawed - 8 - 10 ounces
- hot fudge topping --
- sweetened condensed milk - 1 can
- butter - 1/2 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- milk OR semi sweet chocolate chips - 1 cup
- toasted pecan or walnuts - 1/2 - 3/4 cup
Instructions:
Combine Oreo's and butter; set aside 1 cup; firmly press remaining crumbs into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Slice ice cream into 1 inch layers and place on top of crumbs; pressing seams together.
Sprinkle reserved crumbs over ice cream.
Prepare hot fudge -- in a saucepan, melt together over low heat, 1/2 cup butter, vanilla and chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth. Drizzle over ice cream. Sprinkle nuts over top. Evenly spread cool whip on, top with more fudge sauce. Cover and place in freezer.
Pour remaining fudge sauce in jar, cover, store in refrigerator. Warm sauce before serving.
