Peanut Butter Dream Bars
Ingredients:
- peanut butter sandwich cookies, divided - 16 ounce package
- butter, melted - 4 T
- cream cheese, room temperature - 4 ounces
- powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
- creamy peanut butter - 1/3 cup
- Cool Whip, divided - 8 ounces
- instant chocolate pudding - 3.9 ounce package
- milk - 1 1/2 cups
- milk chocolate chips - 1/4 cup
- peanut butter chips - 1/4 cup
Instructions:
Finely crush 24 cookies, mix with butter until well moistened. Press into an ungreased 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Cool crust completely. Mix pudding and milk together. In a second bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar and peanut butter. Fold in 1 c Cool Whip until well blended. Spread chocolate pudding over the cooled crust. Place dollops of cream cheese mixture on pudding layer and carefully spread over top. Spread remaining Cool Whip over the cream cheese. Cover, place in refrigerator for two hours. Break 8 cookies in very small bite size chunks; set aside. Just before serving sprinkle cookies and chips over top.
