Pumpkin Pecan Dessert
Ingredients:
- pumpkin - 15 ounce can
- evaporated milk - 1 cup
- sugar - 1 cup
- vanilla extract - 1 t
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 t
- butter flavored yellow cake mix - 18.25 ounce box
- chopped pecans - 1 cup
- butter, melted - 1 cup
- whipped cream -
- nutmeg, opitional -
Instructions:
Stir together pumpkin, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and cinnamon, spread evenly in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle cake mix over pumpkin mixture, sprinkle on pecans, drizzle butter over pecans. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 60 - 65 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven, let set for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve warm or at room temperature. Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
