Upside Down Apple Cake
Ingredients:
- apples, peeled, chopped - 1 1/2 cups
- refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing - 12.4 ounce can (8 rolls)
- chopped pecans - 1/2 cup
- butter, melted - 2 T
- packed brown sugar - 1/3 cup
- corn syrup - 2 T
Instructions:
Spread 1 cup apples, in a 9-inch glass pie plate coated with cooking spray. Separate the rolls, cut each roll into fourths; place in large bowl. Add 1/2 cup apples and pecans; stir.
In small bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup until well blended. Pour mixture over dough mixture; toss gently to combine. Spoon mixture over the apples in the pan.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 28 - 38 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool rolls in the pan for 5 minutes.
Invert onto serving platter. Warm icing, drizzle over warm coffee cake. Serve warm.
